Celebrated each year on 15 November, Steve Irwin Day is an annual international event honouring the life and legacy of the one and only Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. Steve lived to handle wildlife, it was his passion. Whether it was the most deadly snake or the tiniest lizard, Steve couldn’t contain his excitement.
His main goal was to make sure others around the world cared for and respected wildlife and the environment as much as he did. He certainly got the message across. Steve changed the world with his efforts and ideas. Steve’s legacy will live on for eternity.
Australia Zoo is one of Queensland’s biggest tourist attractions. It has become even more well known since the passing of fellow Steve. His children Bindi and Robert and his wife Terri continue to handle wildlife and take care of their zoo as Steve would be doing if he was still alive.
There will be stacks of fun activities throughout Australia Zoo on Steve Irwin Day, all focused on celebrating and remembering the life of Steve Irwin.
